Acupuncture is a treatment method that uses the impact on bioactive points of the face and body with special disposable needles. An introduction of a medical needle into a bioactive point causes a response or a reflex from the neural and endocrine systems or internal organs. Pulse examination is one of the essential diagnostic tools in Tibetan medicine. Every organ has its own pulse, which can be felt at the matching point on the wrist. Each point corresponds to a pair of organs, like lungs – large intestine, heart – small intestine, liver – gallbladder, pancreas and spleen – stomach. During the diagnosis, the doctor applies one’s fingers to all six points on the patient's wrists and simultaneously listens to the pulses of twelve internal organs.

Moxibustion
Moxibustion is a thermal impact on bioactive points located on the entire surface of the human body. A moxa, a so-called wormwood cigar, is used during the procedure. These are tightly rolled leaves of the medicinal plant named wormwood, smoldering for a long time. The smoke of wormwood cigars has a bactericidal and therapeutic effect. The impact on the bioactive points activates the immune system and helps to reduce swelling.
